Uke is beaut… mate!!!
Do you think of the ukulele as a toy? I know I did. I couldn’t take it seriously, it was so small and visions of Tiny Tim made me shiver with fear.
Then, I started working in a music store and got to know the true majestic qualities it contains. Relatively easy to learn, very affordable, portable and a lot of fun.
I mean, Eddie Vedder (Pearl Jam) did a whole album with the ukulele. Chris Cornell used it on the last album he did. Throw in Riptide by Vance Joy and you have some serious artists playing serious songs with the little treasure.
And they’re not all small, there are 4 different sizes – Soprano (smallest), Concert, Tenor & Baritone. Like buying shoes, one of these will fit you!!!
So, if you are thinking about it, give it a try. Loads of fun and can be a segue to the guitar if desired.
